Lead engineer on design of a $5 million, EPA Clean Water Grant funded project for three small communities in Mariposa County, CA. Each house had an individual septic tank but disposal was in the community mound systems. At the time, it was the largest mound system ever designed for a site in California. The mound system is a modification of a standard leach field. Richard Otis, the lead author of the EPA Design Manual for Onsite Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Systems, worked with Mr. Dickson as a subconsultant on this project.
