Designed a system to replace a failed leach field. It is likely that the problem was a crushed pipe leading to the leach field rather than the leach field itself, but because the owners of the property had been red-tagged by the County for doing construction without a permit, the County insisted that a new system be installed. Effluent is pumped from the septic tank system to the mound system. Because the property is in the flood plain, the County requires that there be a mound system in order to raise the leach field above the maximum flood level.
